Pipe Flow Gas Pipe Length Calculator App
Calculate Gas Pipe Length
The Pipe Flow Gas Pipe Length App calculates the maximum length of pipe for a given gas flow rate before a specified pressure drop is reached. Friction losses are calculated using specialist compressible isothermal flow equations (including the General Fundamental Flow equation, Complete Isothermal Flow equation, AGA Flow equation, Weymouth Flow equation, Panhandle A Flow equation, Panhandle B Flow equation, and the IGT Flow equation). The pressure drop in the pipe is affected by items such as the internal roughness of the pipe material, size of internal diameter, pipe length, gas flow rate, pressure at the start of the pipe, and the gas density at the entry condition.Users can select items from from the pipe database, fitting database, and fluid database, and this data can then be used in the calculation.
Gas Pipe Length Calculation Results
Tapping "Calculate Pipe Length" calculates the length of pipe needed before a given gas flow rate causes a specified pressure drop. Individual pressure losses for each item (friction losses, fitting losses for valves & bends) are displayed on the results screen..Share Calculations
Calculations can easily be saved to your device or shared with other users of Pipe Flow Gas Pipe Length. The App can also generate professional PDF / Excel Reports that can be sent via email and viewed on any device.Choose Isothermal Gas Flow Equation & Compressibility Model
