The software takes in to account pipe friction losses, the pipe material, internal roughness of the pipe, the specified flow rate, the maximum allowed pressure drop, the loss through any fittings, bends, and valves, the fluid density, and the fluid viscosity.Users can select items from from the pipe database, fitting database, and fluid database, and this data can then be used in the calculation.
Pipe Length Calculation Results
Tapping "Calculate Pipe Length" calculates the maximum length of pipe before the given flow rate produces a pressure loss greater than the maximum allowed pressure loss. The individual friction losses for each item are displayed on the results screen.
