Can Pipe Flow Wizard calculate flow rates in a pipe?
Yes. When a pipe's internal roughness, internal diameter, length, change in elevation from start to end, fittings, and available pressure (pressure at start of pipe minus pressure required at end of pipe) are known then the FLOW RATE that will occur in the pipe can be calculated.
The type of fluid flow that occurs (laminar or turbulent), the Reynolds number, the friction factor, and the fluid velocity are calculated and displayed alongside the resulting flow rate.
