If the fluid you are using is one of the included gases, the viscosity and density of the gas at various temperatures and pressures can be calculated.


To add a new gas to the fluid database:


  1. Click the Gas button  on the calculation panel.
  2. Click the Calculate Gas Data button to display the Gas Data Calculator.

  1. Choose a Gas from the drop-down listing.
  2. Enter the temperature of the gas.
  3. Enter the pressure of the gas.
  4. Click Calculate Gas Data.
  5. The density, viscosity and specific heat ratio for the gas are displayed.
  6. Click Save To Fluid Database to add the data to the fluid database.

The Gas Data Calculator will not generate fluid data if running the trial version of Pipe Flow Wizard.
