Additional pressure is required to raise gas in a pipeline to a point of higher elevation, however the additional pressure required due to the change in elevation is relatively small compared to the overall pipeline pressure loss.
In the example shown, the 500ft rise in elevation only adds about 5.5% to the overall pressure loss in the pipeline (with the majority of the pressure loss arising through friction loss in the pipe).
